payday loans

So I’m caving into practicality and making myself a bank alt. See, it all starts out innocently enough: One night it’s…”Gee, I think I’ll look into these addon thingys.” The next day…”Auctioneer is awesome!” and then “I need a bank alt.” A bank alt is simply a little toon you make up and park very close to an Auction House. Lvl 1 is fine. You don’t even need to do anything with him at all until you start making money. Once you start making money its apparently a rule that you pimp him out in all the finest useless garb (like a Black Tuxedo to start). Bank alts save you time and money. Banks alts are a good thing.

Totally off topic paragraph: I had a pretty good day at the office, it’s raining to beat the band and everything overall is pretty darn good at the moment. This does not seem to happen often enough so I swung by the local packy and picked up a 6 pack of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. If you are under 21 years of age – beer is bad. If you are over 21 years of age – Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is freaking fantastic and you should try it….seriously…go get some.

Back on point. Bank alts are good stuff. Considering that there are way more mailboxes than Auction Houses here is what you do…

Step one: Make a lvl one toon and get him to an Auction House (most of which are darn close to a bank by the way).

Step two: All the stuff you want to either auction off or put in the bank from your main or other characters you simply mail to your bank alt and have him do all the leg work.

This saves a TON of time running back and forth, especially at higher levels, and can save you on the coin for the taxi rides at lower levels as well. Now, you’ve got a little toon with a ton of junk in the mailbox that needs to be dealt with. You know those times you log in and you’ve only got like 30 minutes to get stuff done? Bank alt. So sell, vendor and bank away. When you need cash just mail it from your bank alt to your main. No problem.

I made one up and his name is Madoff (how was that name not taken?). Just by pure coincidence he’s a troll and I think I got pretty close…

So for you folks out there looking to optimize your playing time consider making one up. It’s fast and easy – about the only thing you’ve got to do is run your starter toon to a major city. That’s it.

You can take this little exercise another big step forward and start your own bank alt guild. Nance over on AlteracVolley  just did a great “how to” post on it – Bank Alt Guilds.

I’m off to walk the dog in the rain and perhaps have another Sierra. See you tomorrow!

    Bank Alts are win!

Also a very cheap way to get more storage space happening as the bank alt has their own bank.

If you really want to go to the extreme and become a tycoon, the only way to go is form an entire guild for your bank alt, giving you access to a guild bank all of your own!

    Zupa,

Totally. I did not mention that at all and thanks! With your bank alt you get a whole new bank as well for storage. Thanks for the comment!

After playing a Druid in the World of Warcraft casually for a while I decided to start up a little website. It's all Druids all the time here on WoW Druid.com! I'm not an expert, nor am I the best player ever to play a Druid in the history of the game. I just really like playing a Druid, running some Druid PvP and basically talking about this addicting game. Thanks!
