WoWWiki.com is one of my “go to” sites for World of Warcraft info. So when I finally had time to take a look at the newest Druid-able (Druidiable? Druidtastic? Druidready?) class, The Worgen I came across this blurb…
“Its body is covered in coarse, grayish-black fur with twitching claws and snarling teeth. The creature’s eyes are mottled yellow in color, unblinking and devoid of any discernible emotion other than hunger.” (read the rest over on Wowwiki.com)
…and the first thing that popped into my head was “Crackhead.” Which is fine with me. Whatever floats your boat. The Druid class has been a little on the soft side in my humble opinion. Night Elfs? Meh. Taurens…little better. We need some fear factor in the Druid class. Even the forms are a little wimpy really…even Boomkins are a little on the warm and cuddly side if you ignore the beak.
So, YES! Mean, scary angry crack head Druids. Running amok, digging through the trash, fighting amongst each other, snarling, jabbering in nonsensical spittle laced ramblings. Bring it on. It makes a bit of sense really…crack heads are always broke, low on supplies, and their complexion is always changing…very Druid.
It’s all good stuff. A few things I’m looking forward to on the whole new Worgen Druid’s that are soon to be running around Azeroth making little yellow spots in the snow thing:
The names we’re going to see. Spot? Fluffy? Fido? Snoopy? Fleabag? I really stink at names but I’m sure we’ll see some good ones.
New and exciting Dog on Cat/Tree/Moonkin/Sea Lion quasi-porn positions and pseudo toon sex acts.
The degrading corney dog jokes that are sure to follow…whistles…throwing bones, flea jokes…going to be horrible in the sheer cheesiness.
Overall I feel this is great for the Druid Class in WoW in general. We need more choices…more stuff to mix it up with. Druids have had a really good run over the past year or so with gains in talents, buffs and bumps.
Two questions hang in the air however…
1) Worgen are Alliance? They are considered neutral evil. Werewolf kind of dudes. Apparently, according to lore, the Night Elves are involved in the whole thing? WTF?
2) Will there be a Death Night effect with the new Druid Classes for Troll and Worgen? As I recall everyone, and I mean everyone (other than Death Knights), hated Death Knights. New Class…new abilitites…blah, blah,blah. Will we see a similar effect with the Worgen and Troll Druids? Will the tribe split?
